Provided ongoing counsel to GSUSA and its then 312 councils nationwide on a variety of issues from negative press regarding product tampering and trans fats in cookies to sexual abuse, drunk drivers and litigation.
Actiq
(oral fentanyl; Anesta; now owned by Cephalon)

Provided counsel to address FDA concerns about whether the drug would be perceived as “lollipop” and be attractive to children; and worked to educate HCPs about breakthrough cancer pain.
Xenical (orlistat; Roche)
Senior counselor for communicating to all stakeholders about the withdrawal of the NDA with a strategy that resulted in minimal impact on the company’s stock and allowed for the continued public and professional anticipation of the product, which was approved in subsequent years.
Cancer Treatment Centers of America
Senior counselor to help CTCA overcome negative press and perceptions.  Results included CTCA being named one of Modern Maturity’s Top 15 Hospitals nationwide in less than one year following engagement. Corporate image campaign leveraged patient-centered allopathic and CAM treatments to establish CTCA as a viable alternative for treatment of cancers of all types and to establish and reinforce CTCA’s position as a viable alternative to local and/or national cancer centers.
